CBN crystals are brand new to the legal cannabis market, which is why they are so rare. While the cannabinoids known to date are naturally present in hemp, CBN is not. Its appearance is the result of a process called "decarboxylation", in which THC is heated and oxygenated. In other words, cannabinol is a molecule closely related to THC. However, these two cannabinoids derived from cannabis should not be confused. Unlike THC, which is defined as a psychotropic, CBN is a harmless component that is fully authorized in France and Europe. It is the subject of numerous studies designed to highlight its supposedly beneficial potential for body and mind.
