Beldia Hash CBD
Where does Beldia come from?
Also known as Beldia Supreme, it has its origins in the Rif mountains of Morocco. Extracted as cannabis resin from a Sativa variety called Moroccan Landrace, cultivated for thousands of years in this region, locals call it Moroccan Beldia. Despite its unchanged genetic profile, multiple selections, climatic upheavals and the development of hashish production to support strong European demand, led to radical changes in this ancestral plant from the 1960s onwards.
Has Hash Beldia changed over the years?
Originally, the inhabitants of the Rif cultivated this variety for personal consumption, and took the time to improve every aspect. From the size of the plants to the resinous bud, everything was patiently studied to reveal its exceptional flavours. Nowadays, cannabis cultivation has intensified, and it's preferable for Moroccan growers to produce small, densely-packed plants with high yields and equally high THC levels. Unfortunately, these changes have made Beldia Haschich a much more common product, and it has almost lost its original aromas of honey coupled with hints of mint.
In popular culture, some rappers talk about it in their music, notably Koba Lad, who named one of his tracks Beldia.
